It is interesting that within the school voucher discussions, no one mentions that only a few poor students benefit from the program. If the purpose of the program is to benefit underprivileged children, it should be underwritten for all poor children, not just for the lucky few selected by a lottery.
In addition, there is no mention of what happens when a child with a voucher is expelled or not up to the task of the school. Where does he go then? What happens to the money that was paid to attend that school?
The discussion revolves around constitutionality and motivation but does not address other problems that could arise.
