Regarding the Sept. 3 news article “ Ailing Crowder may have to resign”: Thomas Crowder believes that great cities are built on great neighborhoods, and to that vision his dedication to District D and its constituents is legendary.
It is not just having Crowder to champion the district, he also nurtures, empowers and encourages everyone within his community to get involved and speak out when voices of reason are needed. And in case constituents of District D need additional encouragement, he holds monthly Saturday morning meetings, providing the opportunity to learn and share ideas and concerns. He can be counted on to help because he always has Raleigh and District D at heart, and his passion, his vision, love and dedication are a model for all of us to emulate.
We all take pride in Raleigh and over the past couple of decades have witnessed its becoming one of the great cities in the nation. But it didn’t “just happen.” It has taken vision, dedication, leadership and sacrifice.
Thanks to Crowder, for his love of Raleigh and District D and all he has done in guiding us to become one of the great cities of the world.
