The long, informative Sept. 21 news story “ Hagan’s impact muted by stalemate” on Sen. Kay Hagan was very interesting. Based on it, many voters might be inclined to vote for her.
But you forgot to mention that a vote for Hagan is a vote to continue the “puppet master” Harry Reid as Senate majority leader. In that office Reid has done more to undermine the effectiveness of the Senate and create discord in that body since any leader since the run up to the Civil War. It is no accident that a major sponsor of anti-Thom Tillis ads is an organization under the influence of Reid.
A vote for Tillis is a vote to restore community among the members of the Senate and again make it the effective legislative body it was designed to be, allowing careful consideration of all aspects and amendments to bills proposed in the Senate or passed by the House of Representatives.
