Just when I thought George Will couldn’t be more arrogant or uninformed, he proves me wrong. The Oct. 20 column “ The fictitious ‘war on women’ ” that this man thinks is “fictitious” is anything but.
The judiciary has not “controlled abortion policy” as Will asserts. The Constitution has. This, despite the Republican effort at every level of government to restrict or outlaw abortion.
The GOP’s recent strategy to say it favors making birth control available over the counter is just its way of saying insurance shouldn’t cover birth control, making it that much more expensive for women (and the men who rely on it).
The GOP’s absolute refusal to support pay equality for women is just another example of its disdain for all things female. How any woman in her right mind could fall for this garbage is beyond me. Will’s paternalistic diatribe surely won’t gain the GOP any votes from educated women!
