Apparently it takes God awhile to become accustomed to equality.
Before the Emancipation Proclamation, according to many theologians, God endorsed slavery. Afterward, God agreed with inequality between the races because many ministers stated it was God’s belief the races should be separated. During the civil rights of the 1960s, I heard ministers say God was opposed. Of course, they all quoted Bible verses to justify this view.
Now, evidently God does not support slavery or Jim Crow laws since no one is espousing God’s objections. But God is against, according to the experts on God’s wishes, the notion of equality under the law for same-sex marriages.
Can these experts on God’s wishes tell us when God will be agreeable to same-sex marriages?
