Regarding the Nov. 14 Under the Dome item “Bradshaw ‘inclined’ to ask for recount”: Many election results were still too close to call. One that was not, however, was out in the Asheville area.
Rep. Tim Moffitt lost his bid for re-election 52 percent to 48 percent. He credited his loss to being close to “the enemy’s base camp.” He then went on to say that the other legislators and he all wanted the same outcome: “a better North Carolina.”
I think, for a start, we can all get a better North Carolina by not referring to the people who did not vote as we did as “the enemy.”
