The acumen of the American voter in the recent elections was exemplified in many places but best in Kansas. The governor, Sam Brownback, who had succeeded in ruining the economy of Kansas by the application of Republican “voodoo” economic principles, was re-elected. He was re-elected by voters who proclaimed in exit polls that the economy was the No. 1 issue.
If the irony of this escapes us, I would bet that someone is pleased with the outcome of the senatorial race in North Carolina.
Kansas may be the best example, but it certainly isn’t the only one!
