I recently corresponded with the Employment Security Commission. I wonder why our politicians are cutting programs instead of looking more into waste within our government agencies?
On the forms, the department asks for an email address. Instead of responding via email, it sends two forms (with exactly the same information) in two different envelopes. It appears one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing, since we have government personnel (within the agency) repeating the same activities, in addition to the waste in paper and postage.
If agencies would start looking inside for waste, maybe some of us who need benefits would be able to get them since better efficiency would free up the funds needed for those needing government help. Yes, all governments have waste, but wasteful situations as obvious as this could have been spotted by almost anyone, if they bothered to look.
