It is revealing that J. Peder Zane in his Sept. 14 column “Obamacare: The Democrats’ disaster” bemoaned his own health insurance situation but can’t spare a single word of sympathy for our fellow Tar Heels who stand to lose their coverage if insurance companies no longer offer Affordable Care Act policies in the state.
He lamented about these companies, “They’re bleeding me and still crying uncle!” However, our state’s ACA enrollment numbers, third highest in the country, “are akin to the record high homeownership figures achieved just before the mortgage meltdown in 2008.”
What is Zane’s point? Tough luck. I’ve got mine.
