This ugly election highlights the discontent and disenfranchisement in large segments of our population. So I think “that reality demands bipartisan attention and thoughtful response” from responsible leaders of both political parties.
Then I read in the Oct. 19 editorial “McCain's sad promise to continue obstruction” about Sen. John McCain’s shocking position regarding any Hillary Clinton-nominated Supreme Court justice. That is anything but responsible, and sad to hear coming from a once widely respected man.
Who among the Republicans is willing to work on cooperative governance with the sometimes challenging compromises needed?
