Neither Donald Trump’s supporters nor those who oppose him seem to have caught on that what he really aims at, and what he most enjoys, is making fools of other people, especially of women.
He has been more successful in doing this to his supporters than to his opposition, as his supporters will realize sooner of later.
That is the secret of his appeal to the under-educated, prejudiced and misogynous segment of the population that Hillary Clinton made the mistake of referring to as “deplorables.”
Lately, Trump seems to delight in making fools of his fellow Republicans. Even if Trump loses the election, he will have had the satisfaction of making fools of more of his fellow Americans than any candidate for the presidency has done in the entire history of our country. And I predict that he will not let us forget his preeminent achievement.
