In response to the writer of the Nov. 18 letter “OSP helps children thrive”: I am happy that her daughter is happy. But, I have an issue with my tax dollars being used to support a religious institution.
In the United States, there is clear separation of church and state. If my tax dollars are being used to indoctrinate children with a set of religious beliefs, how is that separation of church and state? So she should pay for her private school. Or do what the rest of us do and work to make her public school successful. Volunteer. Read with her kid. Get to know the teacher. Join the PTA.
This is the recipe for school success, not OSP.
