Regarding the April 21 business article “Benefits, drawbacks of B Corps”: Thank you for putting more ink to the topic. Whereas the risk and reward of some bills our legislature evaluates quickly become a red-blue line in the sand, this bill is a no-brainer and easy to support. It’s good for our economy, our environment and our employees.
Benefit Corporations invest time and resources improving their governance, sustainability practices, policies and processes to be better for their employees, customers and communities.
The question isn’t why but why not? Why would our state not want to encourage this positive step that will attract an emerging workforce, encourage responsible resource management and inspire volunteerism within communities?
