Regarding the Aug. 11 news article “Senate to vote on limits in constitution”: Each day seems to bring news that our state legislators are further out of touch with the needs and desires of the residents of the state. Senate Bill 607 is the latest salvo in the fight to strip North Carolina of any semblance of progressive governance.
As a Wake County resident, I have lived through a similar situation with the Wake County school board. I can only hope that voters throughout the state take similar action in voting for representation that truly represents the interests of the majority of our residents.
