I read the Jan. 9 column “Chipotle’s food farce” written by Will Coggin, the director of Center for Consumer Freedom. I wondered what CCF is, so I searched for it. And, lo and behold, CCF is basically a shill for industry!
“While it bills itself as ‘devoted to promoting personal responsibility and protecting consumer choices,’ others describe it variously as a front group, PR agency or tool for the restaurant and alcohol industries,” according to The San Francisco Chronicle.
I was surprised to see The N&O publish such an obviously biased piece by an organization that has only one intention, and that’s to denigrate any organization that doesn’t conform to its view of the world.
