Regarding the May 8 article "AG: Close colleges to illegal aliens":

Here's my question: Whether or not we allow illegal aliens access to higher education, what is that education going to do for them?

Without a tax ID number or a valid Social Security card, they cannot legally work in the United States once they graduate. So isn't the education they receive, whether the taxpayer or the student foots the bill, useless? That is, unless the illegal alien returns to her home country -- with an education that the U.S. taxpayer subsidized.
