I cannot help but feel that a large portion of legal North Carolinians support the Attorney General's advice regarding illegal aliens' admission to public colleges.

However, individuals such as Andrea Bazán are missing the point. It is generally acknowledged that higher education will lead to self-improvement. But illegal aliens are breaking the law by their very presence here without the required paperwork.

Over the past 20 years, both of my parents have experienced the emotional and financial hardships of legally residing in the other's host countries. There is no entitlement to residence and the associated benefits of a foreign country simply due to desire.
