On the sauce?

Regarding Dennis Rogers' final account of his cross-country road trip, in the June 26 article "Coming home":

I could not believe my eyes when I read "And if I couldn't eat but one kind of barbecue for the rest of my life, it would be hard to turn down the good grub dished up by Jim Neely at Interstate BBQ in Memphis."

I knew that Dennis was getting old, that he was broadening his horizons, that his fervor in defending everything "North Carolina" was waning, but I never expected that he would abandon his Wilson (Eastern N.C.) upbringing to choose Memphis-style barbecue.

I wish HollyAnn all the luck in the world as she now supports her weakening "old man."
