If it were a woman

Regarding Ruth Sheehan's July 23 column "Not so family friendly": I happen to like this particular Abercrombie & Fitch ad, one in which a man is exploited. Women have been exploited in ads for many years. I sure bet men don't complain to the mall office when they walk by Victoria's Secret, where half-naked (much less than a pair of jeans) women pose in the windows, some of whom look like they're 12 years old. I bet they don't complain when they see Abercrombie ads featuring women scantily clad.

I look in circulars that are everywhere every day and see women advertising bras and panties -- once again in much less clothing than jeans.

Why do some men think that a man's body is so sacred when women's bodies are thrown out to be seen by everyone?
