Wake County Public Schools' proposed reassignment plan is not in the best interest of the students. It is incredibly detrimental to move children part of the way through their high school experience.

Moving my daughter to a different school her sophomore year will affect her negatively academically, athletically, artistically and socially. It will affect our family in several ways. Clearly the Wake County Public School System sees each of our children, and our families, as numbers, not as lives. Going through with this proposed plan and moving hundreds of kids in the midst of their school experiences will have devastating effects on our kids, our families and our communities. I see no logic, no benefit and certainly no compassion in the way this plan is laid out.

I beg the school board to create a long-range plan that will enable families to know that all of their children will be able to finish each phase of schooling at the schools to which they are initially assigned.
