Regarding the Feb. 16 article "Abortion remark angers students":
The really big news is not that a couple of students were upset by Professor Albert Harris' challenge to his students to think for themselves. Rather, the most important insight is Harris' quote in the last paragraph.
Harris makes a brilliant end run around the divisive controversy about the question of when life begins. Harris states, "I say that life doesn't begin. It continues, and it becomes more complicated, and eventually it becomes something that it's definitely murder to kill."
