We're sick of these insidious political candidate robocalls that pester us day and night for weeks prior to any election. Our household is a charter member of the national Do Not Call list, but political candidates are currently (and wrongly) exempt.
So for all of the candidates in "I-Really-Need-To-Be-Your-(Fill in the Blank)-Land," here's our new household policy on robocalls:
We keep a pad and pen beside all four of our home telephones. If a candidate interrupts our privacy with even one robocall, we listen long enough to obtain the name as well as the office being sought. This information is then updated to our Do Not Vote For spreadsheet on a daily basis. This spreadsheet will remain in play through the November elections.
Voters have pleaded for several years that these ever-more intrusive robocalls to our homes cease. Candidates do not know when we are eating, they do not know when we are sleeping, but they continue to prove that they just do not care.
