Robbing Ferguson’s children of their joy

‘The talk’ will come soon enough for our brown and black children. What we miss when we include them in our protests such as Ferguson is their human right to the evolution of their moral lives. I see our children on Ferguson’s front lines with their tiny hands raised in a gesture that should never ever be a part of their realities, much less their symbol systems.
