I graduated in the spring. For the last seven years of my schooling, I was bused from Apex to Raleigh to attend Ligon Middle School and Enloe High School. It was worth it. I'm now attending UNC-CH, one of the best public universities in the country, with a better understanding than most of other people in my classes. I attribute this to having graduated from a school that challenged me and wasn't full of kids who were from the same socioeconomic background.

The real world is full of different viewpoints. My professors and classmates at UNC are from all over the world, all have different things to offer and it's not a new experience for me. I had all of this in high school, even middle school!

That is something that makes Wake County special. How could this possibly no longer be an option?

Meagan Meekins,

Apex
