Gov. McCrory backs Dorothea Dix compromise, but Senate leader opposed

State leaders and Raleigh City Council members approved an agreement that will help create a destination park at the Dorothea Dix Hospital campus.

Gov. Pat McCrory announced his support Thursday for the compromise version of a bill to renegotiate Raleigh’s lease on the Dorothea Dix property. But Senate leader Phil Berger attacked the compromise.
