| From afar, the exchange between lobbyist Dean Plunkett and Rep. John Sauls appeared serious. But the grimace-producing topic was actually golf - Sauls said he couldn't play this weekend. "You would think we only talk about high level stuff," said Plunkett, a lobbyist for N.C. Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association. Plunkett said that legislation hardly ever comes up on the golf course. Sauls, who is also a pastor at Crossroads Ministry in Broadway, represents Harnett and Lee counties. | |
