Sierra Club lists picks for primaries

closeCHAPEL HILL -- The N.C. Sierra Club endorsed incumbent state Sen. Ellie Kinnaird and the other incumbents in local state House and Senate races, it announced Tuesday.
In the Orange County commissioners race, the club endorsed at-large candidate Bernadette Pelissier, the former chairwoman of the Sierra Club's Orange-Chatham Group.
In District 1, the group endorsed Pam Hemminger and incumbent Valerie Foushee, who do not face primary opponents.

The group didn't endorse any candidates from District 2.
