Ex-senator to speak at NCSU seminar

RALEIGH - Former U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley will speak at N.C. State University's Millennium Seminar Series at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 in Stewart Theater. His remarks will focus on Russia's international standing and the current conflict in Georgia.

Bradley, a former Democratic presidential candidate and professional basketball player, represented New Jersey in the U.S. Senate from 1979 until 1997. The Princeton University graduate and Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University has written six books on American politics, culture and the economy. He is also host of "American Voices," a weekly radio show that highlights the accomplishments of Americans.
