Comic alert: Is FBoFW going Gil Thorp?

"Is Susie from Cary the only CIO reader worried about the state of today's cartoon pages?" writes Susie from Cary.

Of perhaps greater concern: How come longtime correspondent Susie in Cary is suddenly referring to herself in the third person?

"For several weeks, I've been e-mailing CIO about various and sundry observations of the bizarre, sublime, subversive, etc. in the comics section. For instance, today's [Aug. 18] "For Better or For Worse" shows a limo driver for Liz's wedding who's a dead ringer for her grandfather."

Hold on, Susie in Cary, we missed that day. Thumb, thumb, thumb ... (http://www.fborfw.com/strip_fix/archives/2008_08.php) ... holy moly! There it is, plain as day in panel four: a grandpa look-alike driving the limo!

"Only problem is," continues Susie in Cary, her grandfather is paralyzed by a stroke and is now in the hospital after having a heart attack! Could he be wanting to see his granddaughter married so badly that he's having an out-of-body experience?"

Character drawing confusion -- isn't that what led y'all to vote Gil Thorp off the comics pages?
