Byron G. Scott, a former Pfizer Pharmaceutical executive and senior director of regulatory affairs at Schwarz Biosciences, has been named vice president regulatory affairs and global regulatory leader at Ovation Pharmaceuticals. He is based in Raleigh.

Tami Klerr-Naivar was appointed senior vice president of business development at PRA International, a clinical research organization based in Raleigh. Klerr-Naivar has sales expertise and therapeutic experience in the areas of infectious disease, oncology, neonatology, and critical care.

Bob Woodard was named division vice president of McCar Homes' Raleigh division. Woodard is now the division vice president of McCar Homes' Greensboro/Winston-Salem operation. He will oversee both the Raleigh and Greensboro divisions. Woodard will also oversee the management of construction, sales, land acquisition and development, and all administrative departments.

Kelli H. Kukura, senior team manager for DuPont Operations Public Affairs, was appointed legislative director for the N.C. League of Municipalities. She will coordinate the organization's advocacy efforts and serve as primary state legislative lobbyist for the nonpartisan association of 542 North Carolina cities, towns and villages.

G. Edward "Eddie" Story was named senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at RTI International in Research Triangle Park. Story will lead the office of corporate counsel and manage RTI's legal interests, as well as ensure that RTI is fully compliant with local and national laws.

Christopher Winslow has been named chief operations officer for Awesome Awnings. The Cary-based firm has franchise locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.

Mary Mulholland has been promoted to client services coordinator for TRC Staffing Services. She is responsible for recruitment and placement of temporary and permanent employees as well as daily operations for TRC's Raleigh location.

Jerry Colley has been named executive vice president for Store Group at General Parts in Raleigh.

Adam R. Pridemore joined The DiLeone Law Group as a lawyer. He will focus his practice in business transactions and estate planning and will handle a variety of other tasks for the Raleigh-based law firm.

Michael Fortson was hired as a designer at Ulanguzi Creative Strategies in Raleigh. Carlos Manriquez was hired as media designer and Victoria Bouloubasis as a copywriter.
