I say "amen" to the July 12 letter about The N&O's recycling Charlotte's local news stories to us readers here in the Triangle, and I'm originally from Charlotte! I'm still not over a picture that ran in our paper in May of a student graduating from a school in Charlotte. Like we don't have any kids here locally who could have been pictured doing the same? We had to go all the way to Charlotte for the story? That is just lazy reporting.And I hear the same feedback from my parents who reside in Charlotte and get news/photos that they couldn't care less about concerning Raleigh.It's one thing to save money and share general news within the two papers, but if I wanted to know more about the happenings in Charlotte, I would subscribe to the Observer. I wonder whether my letter will run in both papers.Michelle FryWake Forest
