SOLID DEBUT: Wade Davis pitched seven shutout innings in his International League debut, and Chris Richard drove in three runs with a homer and a sacrifice fly to lead visiting Durham over Syracuse for its fifth straight win.

Davis, a right-hander promoted last week from Montgomery, gave up three hits, struck out six and walked three.
