Chapel Hill to celebrate Festifall

CHAPEL HILL - The town will hold its 36th annual Festifall Street Fair from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday on West Franklin Street.

There will be performances on four stages. More than 75 artisans and craftspeople will sell pottery, jewelry, wall hangings, garden sculptures and more. Town departments will provide information on services offered to residents. Non-profit organizations will share information and an array of activities.

Public parking will be available in municipal parking lots throughout downtown, including Lot 5 at 108 Church St./141 W. Rosemary St., Lot 2 at 100 E. Rosemary St., the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary St. and side street parking where available.

After hitting the festival, head over to the Chapel Hill Museum from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for a debut musical puppet performance teaching children about fire safety. Admission for the puppet show is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The museum is at East Franklin and Boundary streets. For reservations, call 929-7467.
