According to authorities, the man entered the bank at 13 Hargett St. and slipped a note to a teller announcing the robbery. After the teller complied with his demands, officials said, the suspect fled on foot.

The man is described as a black man with a medium complexion, about 40 to 45 years old, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a brown shirt and a light baseball cap with a design on its front. Other characteristics, such as distinctive markings or tattoos, and hair color and length were unavailable.
