RALEIGH -
Police are looking for a man who robbed the Mechanics & Farmers Bank in downtown Raleigh this afternoon.According to authorities, the man entered the bank at 13 Hargett St. and slipped a note to a teller announcing the robbery. After the teller complied with his demands, officials said, the suspect fled on foot.The man is described as a black man with a medium complexion, about 40 to 45 years old, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a brown shirt and a light baseball cap with a design on its front. Other characteristics, such as distinctive markings or tattoos, and hair color and length were unavailable.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-2746.
