Regarding the Aug. 16 article "A gentle dissident is jailed, unbowed":

People like Mary Rider are dangerous. They challenge us to take a hard look at our values. For those of us who call ourselves Christians, they call us to look at life issues (abortion, euthanasia, certain types of stem cell research, execution by the state and war) in a very different way from that espoused by the majority in our society.

People like Mary Rider are put in jail. Sometimes they are executed, like their leader Jesus. They are dangerous. They must pay a price.
