Undam the plan

Regarding the April 24 article "2 bottle up plan to reuse water":

Count me among the taxpayers who want the city to build a system for reusing and recycling nonpotable water, especially when it saves seven to 10 million gallons of drinking water per day. I don't mind that I won't be using that system for my own yard.

Count me among city of Raleigh water users who consider it wise to continue building on plans, already approved and put into place, to make better, more conservative use of our water, rather than holding them up for political theater, pontificating and other such silliness.

Count me among city of Raleigh voters who failed to see a single, solitary, worthwhile scintilla of leadership displayed by any city leader during our most recent months-long drought.

Count me among those who see no value, whatsoever, in the action taken by Councilmen Russ Stephenson and Rodger Koopman to delay contracts that would move the plan for building a reuse system along.

Count me among those voters who helped put Rodger Koopman into office and who -- should he continue down this path -- stand ready to remove him when the next opportunity arises.
