Regarding the July 12 article "Rescue of Fannie, Freddie in the works":
Remove adjustable rate mortgages. Remove stock options for all senior executives of publicly owned companies. This ensures a more level playing field, protects the innocent as well as the dumb and offers greater transparency in our finances.
Halfway measures are inadequate. Complete removal is necessary to ensure protection of the stupid as well as the small investor.
