RALEIGH - Josh Senegal came off the bench to rush for 158 yards and teammate David Highsmith added 155 to lead Enloe past Athens Drive 24-21 Friday.

The game was delayed for one hour because of lightning. There were also several minor injuries in the second half.

The delays and stoppages caused the game to last more than three hours.

With the Eagles down 15-13 midway through the fourth quarter, Senegal led them on a 71-yard drive, accounting for 49 of the yards and the go-ahead points on a 3-yard run. Senegal added the conversion run to put Enloe ahead for good 21-15.

"The kids played hard, even though it was a struggle," said Enloe coach Ron Clark, whose Eagles improved to 2-0. "Josh Senegal stepped up and did a real good job, and so did David Highsmith.

"Our offensive line really blocked well, especially on that big drive."

"It's a good feeling to be 2-0, but we have a tough schedule and a big game next week against Southeast Raleigh," Clark said.
