DURHAM - One of two teenagers charged with a series of shootings and robberies faces an additional shooting charge.

Trey Preston Brown, 18, of Windgate Drive was charged Friday with shooting at a DATA bus on March 6.

The bus, with about 20 people inside, was leaving Northgate Mall and turning onto Guess Road when shots were fired from a nearby park.

No one was injured.

Brown, along with Scott Edward Eakes, 19, faces multiple armed robbery and shooting charges.

Both men were arrested in late June.

Police say the crimes were committed out of boredom.
