GREENSBORO - A Greensboro man has been charged after hiding inside a Kohl's department store overnight and ransacking it.

The News & Record reported Wednesday that Brian James Summey, 49, hid inside the store Monday night and waited until all employees had left.

Authorities said he removed dozens of wallets and socks from their packages and stole two wallets, a belt and a tie. Police said he broke out the store's front glass windows as he tried to escape. He was arrested Tuesday morning.

Summey is charged with injury to personal property and larceny. He also faces drug charges after warrants said he was found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
