Raleigh 17-year-old charged in assault

RALEIGH - Raleigh police arrested a teenager in connection with an assault at Lake Lynn Park on March 31.

Devin Terralle Carmen, 17, was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. According to investigators, a woman said she was jogging on the trail when she was struck from behind. When she screamed, the suspect fled.

Carmen also was charged with assault on a female in connection with an incident March 23; a woman was grabbed while she was outside an apartment complex.
