WAKE TECH INSTRUCTOR HONORED: Charles I. Bunn Jr., an accounting instructor in Wake Technical Community College's Business Education Division, has been named Outstanding Educator by the N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants. The award is given annually to recognize contributions to the field of accounting education and leadership in the profession. It is the first time the award has gone to a community college instructor rather than a university professor.

CARY WOMAN CELEBRATES TWO DECADES AT PRESCHOOL: Cheri Spitz of Cary is celebrating 20 years as director of the Resurrection Lutheran Preschool at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary. Spitz began her career at the preschool teaching classes for 3-year-olds and helped establish the elementary school. After the elementary school opened in 2002, she served as administrator for both the elementary school and the preschool until 2005.

CARY STUDENT ACCEPTED INTO ACADEMIC SOCIETY: Anne-Hunter Ashworth of Cary, a sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill, has been accepted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. Golden Key recognizes outstanding academic achievement and works to network recipients locally, regionally and globally.
