DURHAM - A body found Sunday morning at a Northgate Mall parking deck has been identified as that of Virginia French, 38, Durham Police Department spokeswoman Kammie Michael said Monday.

The cause of death had not been determined, but Michael said it did not appear to be the result of foul play.

Officers found French's body inside a car about 12:30 a.m. Sunday after movie patrons leaving the mall notified them of a foul smell, Michael said.

"It appeared she had been there several days," Michael said.
