President Clinton arrived more than an hour late Monday night to address about 1,000 of his wife's supporters at her Raleigh campaign headquarters. Speaking just after 11 p.m., he reiterated Hillary Rodham Clinton's stances on health care, education and the war in Iraq."I want Hillary to be the commander in chief because she can end the war in Iraq with honor," he said, standing in the bed of an eggshell-colored 1948 Ford F-1 pickup, flanked by Gov. Mike Easley, his wife, Mary, their son, Michael Easley Jr., and state Sen. Julia Boseman. "Our men and women have done everything they've been asked to do, and it's time to bring them home now so we can rebuild the military, fight the al-Qaida, wherever they are, and take care of these veterans."
