Regarding your May 12 article "Cities review drought lessons":

If Dale Crisp thinks that growth is no factor in our water shortage, maybe we need a new Raleigh public utilities director. Sure, the drought was a major factor, but the amount of rapid growth in this area (without considering water supplies) was a factor. I don't think an explanation as to why growth was a factor is needed. Most of us realize this.

The next thing we will hear is that growth is not a factor in overcrowded schools and roads.
