Jesse Helms loved and helped all of this great country's veterans, even Yankees like me. About 15 years ago I was about to close on my home. All of a sudden I realized I had misplaced my DD214 certificate from the U.S. Navy. My loan person said "Call Senator Helms!" I did. In less than a week the certificate was in my mailbox.

Jesse Helms was a good man. He deserved to die on the Fourth of July. He was a great American.
