U.N. thievery

I take exception to the editorial of Aug. 19, wherein the writer welcomed the United Nations to partake of rebuilding the Iraq infrastructure, using the monies that Iraq has accumulated by sale of its oil.

The corrupt bureaucrats at the U.N. have smelled the money and can't wait to get their grimy hands on it, as they did with the under-the-table deals they made with Saddam Hussein, even including the then-secretary general.

The work should be overseen by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, not these thieves at the U.N.
