Regarding the Sept. 26 article "Mother's milk in a cone? No way": Thank you for the early morning laugh. Had there been any shred of me that believed PETA was an organization built on reality, that shred has now been obliterated. Does PETA honestly think it's cruel to milk cows and not women? The logic is laughable, and while I am a proponent of breastfeeding, women should not feed the masses.

What I wouldn't have given to be a fly on the Ben & Jerry's corporate wall while they "discussed" the request, which quite possibly was written from atop an abused redwood tree. Maybe Ben & Jerry's polite turn-down is missing a comic opportunity to name their new flavors after the women who contributed to the tastes. I can think of some pretty good ones right now, as I'm sure late night comedians will as well.
