Thieves take money, GPS units from cars

CARY - The town of Cary was hit by a rash of larcenies over the holiday weekend.

Between 10 p.m. July 3 and 6 a.m. July 4, 13 cars were broken into in the area of East Park Street (Hudson Court, Holtz Lane and Sloan Drive). Some cars were unlocked, and force was used on locked cars, according to a media release.

Victims reported that cash and GPS units were taken.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. If you have information concerning a crime, contact CrimeStoppers at 226-2746.
