A.J. Foyt and Ray Evernham will be inducted by the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame in Mooresville on Wednesday.
That hall's 13th annual induction ceremony will be at the Charles Mack Citizen Center at 6:30 p.m.
Foyt, with four Indianapolis 500 wins and the 1972 Daytona 500 victory, has visited Victory Lane in stock cars, sports cars, champ cars, sprints and midgets virtually all disciplines in which he's competed.
Evernham, best known as part owner of a major racing operation and crew chief who helped guide Jeff Gordon to three Cup championships, is also recognized as an innovator. Much of his work with pit crews and in engineering have become racing industry standards.
Tickets and more information are available through the organization at (704) 663-5331.
